Duck Race Official Rules & Regulations

  1. A maximum of 30,000 adoptions will be entered in the race.  The race begins when an adoption is randomly assigned a duck number.  The top 15,000 ducks will race for the win.
  2. Ducks will be released approximately between 3:00 and 3:30 into the Big Wood River and race to the finish line at Rotary Park. The Race Committee reserves the right, in its discretion, to postpone or reschedule the race because of inclement weather, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the control of the committee.
  3. All ducks entered will be provided by the Race Committee and shall remain the property of the Committee. After the ducks are launched, they are on their own. Ducks that are discovered to be stuck will be re-launched by personnel from Blaine County Search & Rescue. No other person is allowed to interfere with the ducks in the waters. The race course will close at the discretion of the Race Committee and after other notification, no other ducks will be eligible for prizes.
  4. A bar code and number will be attached to each duck.  Each adoption will be randomly assigned a number for each adopted duck.  The person whose name appears on the adoption papers corresponding to the designated winning ducks will be awarded the corresponding prize. A list of prizes can be obtained from the Race Committee by sending a written request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Wagon Days Ducks, Box 603, Ketchum, ID 83340-0003.
  5. A minimum of 10 prizes will be awarded. The entry portion of each adoption paper must be completely filled out and delivered to the Race Committee or an authorized representative of the Race Committee at the address set forth in paragraph 4 above. Entries must be received by the Race Committee prior to the race in order to be eligible to win any prize. No other tickets are eligible to win any prize. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of any entries to the Race Committee or an authorized representative.
  6. This charitable raffle duck race is conducted lawfully pursuant to Idaho Code §§67-7702, 67-7710-7712. A minimum purchase of $5.00 per entry is necessary to enter.
  7. Winners will be announced at the finish-line party after the completion of the race and tabulation of the results. Winners will be notified either in person or by U.S. Mail or telephone. Winners need not be present to win. A list of race winners can be obtained from the Race Committee by sending a written request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Wagon Days Ducks, Box 603, Ketchum, ID 83340.
  8. All entries are eligible to win. This includes Race Committee members and their family members, sponsors, supporters, etc.
  9. No cash equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes. Any and all taxes and similar fees are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  10. Entrants and other participants hereby release the Race Committee, its sponsors, supporters, employees, volunteers and the various organizations involved in the presentation and completion of the race from any and all liability with respect to prizes.
  11. By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries. This event is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
  12. All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by the Race Committee and its judgement is final. Tax exempt #82-6024336.
